Agralia Presents Agrifresh, the Heat-Diffusing Screen with Aluminum

Agralia, Spanish agro‑textile company with more than 40 years dedicated to crop protection, has turned innovation into one of its main pillars. Introducing Agrifresh

The constant search for solutions to meet the needs of farmers around the world has driven the development of innovative and cutting-edge products such as Agrifresh, the heat-diffusing screen with aluminum patented by Agralia. This continuous focus on innovation allows us to offer more efficient tools adapted to the current challenges of the sector.

Thanks to Agralia’s patent, it has been possible to add specific aluminum additives directly into the fabric during the manufacturing process. The aluminum microparticles block infrared radiation and lower the temperature more than other shading meshes.

There is a wide range of shade nets on the market: black, white, green, gray, but only Agrifresh contains aluminum within the fabric. In addition, colored nets have the drawback of absorbing a portion of the radiation, causing a decrease in photosynthetically active radiation and an increase in the temperature of the net (and therefore in the internal temperature of the greenhouse).

At Aimplas, a 50% black mesh was compared with Agrifresh RR50 according to the UNE‑EN 13206 standard. The results showed that Agrifresh blocks 66% of infrared radiation compared to 30% for the conventional mesh. Additionally, its diffuse light improves photosynthesis and crop uniformity, increasing production. Agrifresh is ideal for ready-to-eat products (IV range), vegetables, berries, and young fruit trees, available in different shading levels and suitable for outdoor, indoor, or nursery use.

In summary, Agrifresh creates the best microclimatic conditions for plant development thanks to the aluminum that exerts a dual action of reflecting infrared radiation and diffusing light, with the resulting decrease in temperature and increase in photosynthetically active radiation.
